Saturday saw the first portrait session of the year. I must admit I wasn’t particularly motivated, not sure why, the clients are lovely, friendly and were an extended family including four generations. Perhaps, I had had too long Off over the Christmas period, or perhaps I had done far too many portraits prior to Christmas, whether the reason, I was lacking the get and go needed to photograph.
Saturday afternoon arrived, I rushed home from my daughters dance lessons, fed us both, waited for the return of Mr G before heading out with car loaded with my portable studio. I asked the clients to hire a local hall, too many to fit in mine or their home which is normally where I work.
Set up lights and the white backdrop, and we started. The shoot lasted for 2 hours and included lots and lots of group, family groups, cousins, siblings, generation, you name it we did it. The props from little retreats were put to good use and I think at the end of the day, everyone enjoyed the session, I know I am motivated once more. Yay!
