So many to make, but one that I would like to share with you. I have a website capturethismoment.org, which is all right, but it doesn’t quite work. Firstly,  you have to be online to even access the edit section, so I am restricted when I can update, here I can happily create a post or a page anywhere on a mobile device and simply publish when I have wifi. A great bonus, when like me you spend a lot of time waiting, especially waiting for children. Fabulous, definitely a pro. Secondly, I can publicise it straight away , no copy and paste of URLs, another bonus.  I suppose another thing to consider, my website well the galleries just do not work on a mobile device, this one does.

I have certainly had a lot more visitors to this blog than my website over the last week or so, but still I am dithering whether to transfer my domain over. Not really sure why, I suppose my doubts are will people still want to commission me for photographic work if I am blogging about when I do my ironing or the school run, makes me more human for sure. The blog will give me a place to share photographs I take when I am playing with different lenses or learning new techniques, something I felt never really fitted in with my other site. I certainly do not want two sites to update, so I need to make that decision. As I work through my decision making process,I am now thinking how I share the work that I have been commission to do.  I use Zenfolio, to create all my client galleries and invite visitors direct from that, I can post links to photographs captured at events direct to Facebook, Twitter from there also. The online shop has never had a sale, and there are other avenues in which I can sell products through which would reach a far greater audience than I could ever hope to. I suppose another thing to consider, my website just doesn’t work on a mobile device, this one does
